Ukulele Craze

So the other day a friend of mine (check out his blog) showed me this video:

And I thought that was the end. I mean, is there really that much competition after that? It's "The Final Countdown" on three of the craziest instruments.

Then I found this Kazoo ensemble:

And I thought I had finally reached the end of the world, until I found this:

Crotch kazoo, FTW.

I think it's time.

I have something I need to tell you all...

I have an obsession with Jake and Amir. These are two guys who work at Collegehumor.com and make videos in their spare time. They are hilarious and have a great dynamic. They post about twice weekly and I've seen EVERY single video they've made. And now it's time to introduce you.

Their website is here. You should go check them out, but here's a couple of my favorite videos.

Bicycles... at their best

Welcome back followers; I know it's been a while, but I've found some great videos about bicycles for your return.

I don't know if you've noticed, but something that's becoming a fad around me has been this concept of "Going Green," and, on a college campus, this means walking or riding your bike whenever you get the chance. This sentiment seems fine, and I must say a adhere to it as much as possible, but sometimes biking doesn't well as you hoped it would.

What if you have too many people "Going Green" at the same time?
(What this video lacks in sound, it makes up for in carnage)

Or how about when the path given to you isn't quite good enough?

But then again, maybe you'll become really good at biking and never need to walk anywhere again; like this guy.

Until next time!

Unemployed?

Welcome back!

I was really bored the other day as I was at work and I was reading something about the American Idol premiere. This got me thinking about how talented these people were, and many of them didn't even have to work at it. That's the life! I need to get paid for my talents!

So, I started taking an inventory of my talents to see if any of them are useful enough for me to pursue a career with, but alas I've found whatever talent I have, I know it's more useful than some of these guys:

Don't get me wrong, I applaud this guy tremendously. I've watched the tutorial and the pure physics of this operation is intense. I just don't know how much real-life application this has. Sure, he could become a great entertainer; but I wouldn't pay to see some guy stacking dice. Would you?

But in this guy's defense, at least he's not pulling a car by his eyelids. Observe exhibit A:

Photobucket

That's just plain stupidity. I don't even think this guy can qualify this as a talent.

I guess this just really bums me out; growing up I always saw my weird talent of sweating profusely from one armpit my way to the big leagues, but I guess not.

Leave me a comment with the talents you have that you think will help you make it big. But, if all else fails, I hear Wendy's is hiring.

Basketball Failure

Greetings fellow web-goers! Today I’ve found a golden video focusing on the improper use of basketball hoops. First off, I must say I’m glad to see people failing at basketball; videos like NBA Top 10 Best Dunks Ever make me feel less and less like a man every time I watch them, and only remind me of how much time I waste watching NBA Top 10 Best Dunks Ever videos.

But on an up-note, we can always learn from this Einstein…

Hoop Catapult Failure - Watch more Free Videos

This video comes from Break.com, and what I love about it the most is that it almost works; that’s right, if he wouldn’t have shifted his weight backwards at five seconds into this video it would have become a great success and not fell-- on his face-- and to the Bottom of the Bin as an awesome failure.

With this video it’s hard to give out the “I didn’t see that the first time I watched it” Award because there are so many little nuggets of gold speckled throughout. But I think the most worthy thing is that it looks like the kid is trying to make his way to the top of a church. Compare to this picture:

Notice the same sort of low roof structure of a small community church.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think a basketball-hoop catapult is the best way to get to heaven. And breaking church property doesn’t help much either.

An honorable mention goes to the guy (most easily seen at :22), to the left of the hoop, who looks like he is holding some type of green padding. Too bad he didn’t put it on the gutter of the building before lift-off.

It’s also great to note that it takes six guys to get this kid off the ground.

Overall, I love this video because there are eight people seen in the video, plus the camera man, and not one of them figured the hoop wasn’t prepared for the G-forces that kid’s butt was creating.

Until next time, here are some more great Basketball failures:
